The Avengers movie (spoiler free)

Yeah, I went to watch that film last friday on its opening night. Though I watched 2D not 3D. And let me say that it was THE best film I've seen in a while!

I have never been too interested in superheros and didn't really expect anything particular from the movie, I actually got to know about it when I went to watch Iron Sky few weeks ago and saw the trailer in the theaterxD I got interested in it because it looked cool and since I study visual technology I really wanted to see the big dragon-like thing at the end of the trailer. I talked about it with my friend at college and she told me that I should watch Iron Man since the movies are very good. Well I watched Iron Man 1&2 and damn I'm a fan alreadyxD (Now I understand why my other friend JiiBee became a fan of him;D) Then I also watched Thor before going to see The Avengers.

My second college year ended last thursday and so I and my friend decided to go to the movies again to celebrate the start of summer holiday just like last year. We went to see the 2D version because neither of us really likes the 3D... And I have glasses so putting the 3D glasses on top of them isn't the most pleasant thing to do, especially when they try to fall off all the time. Plus I've heard from other people who went to see the movie in 3D that the darker scenes look kinda bad in 3D since the glasses make them even darker so it's hard to tell what's going on.

But yeah, the movie was badass and funnyxD The humor in it was much better than I had even hoped for. I had expected Stark to be an ass in the movie just like in Iron Man (which I really like in him, he's not as nice as Captain America which makes a great contrast. I like the sarcastic humor) and expected him to make the jokes I would laugh at. But I was only half right: Stark really did make me laugh the most but others were amazing tooxD And I just LOVED the interacting between all of the characters, everyone had enough screentime in my taste and all of them fit very well in the film. Especially I liked when the three characters with biggest egos (Stark, Thor and Capt. America. Well Capt. America doesn't have that big ego but he does stick his nose in other's business) get in a fight, verbally and physically. Also Stark and Banner have some good conversations together.

The story is okay, it's good for the movie to be interesting and supporting the interactivity between the characters, there are enough fights and talking, funny moments and serious moments, in superhero mode and in "normal civilian mode" situations to make balance. And the villain is good tooxD I can't really say how much they are "in character" in the movie compared to the original comics, but I've heard a lot of people say that the movie really respects the original comics and have managed to make the characters right. I really like Hulk in this movie. And plotwise I was so happy that they didn't include a big romance, there are hints of something between some characters but nothing big.


All in all: I'm going to see this again, in cinema. I have never gone to see a movie a second time in cinemas, but this. is. worth it.
Some people say that the hype before it kinda made it lame in the end, too big expectations, but for me it was amazing because I didn't really have any expectations other than "I wanna see that dragon-thingy up close" so to me everything it gave was positive. And there were a lot of good surprises that I really didn't see comingxD

Also, I wonder why we got the movie before the US? Is there a better timing to release it there on May 4th? I'm used to watching everything SO late compared to US but this time I went to see it on April 27thO.o
